Summary
Fabrication Mechanic coordinates all activities required to effectively lay out work, set-up appropriate machines or equipment to meet or exceed fabrication and customer requirements per design specifications and published schedules. Efficiently utilizes resources to minimize scrap, materials, and labor.
Responsibilities
Includes, but is not limited to, the following :
- Consistently meet and exceed deadlines for assigned tasks
- Efficiently produce parts that meet and exceed quality standards as determined by the Production Supervisor and / or Quality Inspector

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
1 year related experience and / or trainingMust have a High School Degree or GED equivalentSheet metal fabrication experience preferredAbility to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend all forms of written and / or verbal instructions including but not limited to basic correspondence and blueprintsEffectively able to present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and other employees of the organizationAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, angles, and volumeKnowledge of basic concepts of geometryAbility to apply a common sense approach and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formFork lift and overhead crane training and certification preferredPhysical Demands
