Field-Based Oncology Scientific Expert
Job Overview:

This role involves frequent travel throughout the Pacific Northwest region, utilizing a blend of live and virtual engagement methods. Successful applicants must be based near a major airport within the designated territory.
Main Responsibilities:
- Cultivate deep scientific expertise on Ipsen's Oncology/Hematology molecules/products, and therapeutic area to inform discussions with thought leaders.
- Develop and maintain a network of influential thought leaders to ensure comprehension of evolving healthcare trends within the relevant therapeutic area landscape.
- Provide responses to on and off-label inquiries, adhering to strict standards of integrity, compliance, and adherence to Ipsen's guidelines, policies & procedures.
- Represent Ipsen and the US Medical Affairs Team at scientific conferences, continuing medical educational events, and medical meetings.
- Collect and analyze data to derive valuable insights from stakeholder interactions and disseminate findings to the organization through suitable channels.
- Identify and capture insightful perspectives that advance our understanding of the needs of thought leaders, healthcare providers, and patients, and share these insights internally.
- Address unsolicited requests regarding investigator-sponsored studies (ISS) and facilitate ISS submissions through established internal processes.
- Collaborate on Company-Sponsored Studies (CSS) from Phase I-IV, encompassing investigator/site identification, site initiation visits, and providing feedback on operational management to ensure optimal site selection and performance.
- Respond to unsolicited queries for medical information related to Ipsen products and disease state areas.
- Deliver training and facilitate speakers on Ipsen's products.
- Nurture and cultivate working relationships across internal stakeholders (Medical Affairs colleagues, Clinical Operations, HEOR, R&D, Medical Information, and Commercial) while upholding stringent compliance with relevant company, industry, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Prioritize tasks efficiently and strike a balance between all responsibilities to enhance performance and execute local medical plans within predetermined timelines.
- Contribute to committees or project teams supporting MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by MSL leadership.
- Maintain active participation in continuous independent learning within the therapeutic area and engage in upskilling programs related to Ipsen molecules, products, disease states, and relevant business topics.
Essential Requirements:
- PhD or MD/D.O. in a scientific discipline (PharmD, DPT, Nursing, etc.)
- At least 5 years of experience in a related MSL role
- Oncology MSL experience is highly desirable
- Proven track record in product launches and life cycle management
