The GA will advise on geospatial methods and ensure implementation to the highest standards, on a wide range of tasks such as climate vulnerability modelling, automating analyses of imagery products, multi-sourced integration of GIS data, to support diverse projects. The GA must be able to clearly communicate data, methods and approaches in oral and written presentations.
What You Can Expect To Be Doing
In accordance with NY/CO/CA/WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $85,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.

The Public Affairs Service Line is the world leader in Social and Opinion Research.We work with clients on political and public opinion polling, citizen and stakeholder management, social policy improvement, sustainable development strategy and identifying societal trends and perceptions across several sectors.We assess how government and public affairs policies as well as societal trends and views impact our client’s brand/products/markets.

The GA must be able to clearly communicate data, methods and approaches in oral and written presentations.
What You Can Expect To Be Doing
- GIS Methods and Analysis: Conduct geospatial analysis and remote sensing, across the entire project cycle of ideation, testing, and implementation.
- Data Integration: Lead multi-source data integration to create seamless geospatial products. Ensure proper data governance, data quality checks, and establish rigid protocols for data management across various layers.
- Data Automation: Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of automated data pipelines and workflows for data processing, integration, and analysis.
- Data Visualization: Create maps, infographics, and other geospatial visualizations, as stand-alone products as well as managing geospatial systems.
- Team Management and Coordination: Manage geospatial support staff, ensuring workflows, integration, and quality assurance, as well as closely coordinate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure on track delivery.
- Client Liaison: Serve as a technical SME that may serve as a client contact and present on approaches and findings for geospatial and remote sensing projects
- Necessary: Advanced experience with ArcGIS Pro geoprocessing tools, ModelBuilder, and python integration.
- Experience with ArcGIS Online (AGOL) web mapping and layer hosting/analysis.
- Ability to independently research, identify, download (via APIs, web scrapes, and data portals) and geospatially format a broad range of datasets from diverse sources. These may include data sources from non-English speaking countries, and non-traditional data formats that need reformatting for geospatial use.
- Important: Experience with QGIS and open-source GIS software to compliment workflows where ArcGIS is limiting.
- Advanced experience the Google Earth Engine JavaScript or Python API for remote sensing dataset access and analysis
- Familiarity with Excel formulas, table formatting for GIS processes, and Pivot Table summarizations.
- Helpful: Experience accessing and processing a broad range of open-source geospatial datasets such as OpenStreetMap, Microsoft ML Building Footprints, Copernicus Sentinel (multispectral and SAR) datasets.
- Experience with raster terrain analysis for floodwater modeling and depth/extent assessment.
- 5 years of experience with geospatial analysis and remote sensing
- 5 years of experience with data visualization and/or cartography
- 3 years’ experience in complex environment analysis and crisis response operations/planning
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey key findings and technical information to non-technical clients.
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a strong client service orientation.
- Unflagging attention to detail and commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information, quality of results, and robustness of findings.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and comfortable working within tight and shifting deadlines.
- Flexible and comprehensive thinker, with enthusiasm for learning and innovation.
