What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at IPSS?
Interventional Pain and Spine Specialist is now hiring for a front desk receptionist. We are looking for someone who can provide clerical expertise and excellent customer service. Come be a part of our family like team!
Job duties will include:
- Greet patients, perform check-in/check-out, scheduling, chart prep, and insurance verification
- Answer and field incoming calls, check messages and return calls
- Collect and record co-pays (cash and/or charge) including balancing end of day
- Maintain the confidentiality of patients’ personal information and medical records
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Maintain effective communication between front desk, clinical team, and patients
Requirements of this role:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in a medical office setting and EHR
- Friendly, professional attitude and ability to multitask
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of Athena system is highly desired but not required
