Client Services & Operations Specialist – Full time
As a member of the Client Services team, the associate role encompasses a variety of operations, reporting, compliance, and client relationship related activities. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with the financial services industry, strong attention to detail and an interest in working with a small, dedicated team serving our clients. This is a full-time position. Compensation would be commensurate with experience.
Key area of responsibilities:
- Assist in the opening of new client accounts and the servicing of existing accounts at the custodial level, including transferring assets, monitoring and processing distributions, and working with custodians to handle various client needs
- Set up new accounts and assist with the management of client data in Black Diamond, our account management software
- Work directly with portfolio managers on various ad-hoc projects, including investment performance reporting, account servicing and responding to client requests
- Prepare client presentation materials including both account review materials and prospective client presentation materials
- Responsible for client billing of advisor fees on a quarterly basis
- Back-up to the Trader with daily trading activity
- Assist the COO with ongoing compliance issues
- Assist with general office management responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Previous experience in a client services role within a financial services industry
- General knowledge of investable securities (Equities, Fixed Income, etc.) and various investment account types (IRA, Trusts, Transfers on Death, etc.)
- Experience with Black Diamond or Advent, or a similar account management tool preferred but not required
