Since 1992, IPTA has provided a wide variety of professional services and technology solutions to the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), other Federal agencies and commercial clients.
Responsibilities
- Monitor data or infrastructure system networks for various messages, alarms, or issues
- Identify issues or problems and resolves as appropriate; escalates when necessary
- Troubleshoot problems using scripts and standard, routine procedures; escalates as appropriate
- Initiate resolution as appropriate for enterprise level routers and switches
- Interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance
- Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as directed by management
- Maintain required security posture on all network equipment in accordance with DoD and local command mandates and requirements, including updates, STIGs, IOS upgrades, and other basic network security requirements
- Support special projects and day‐to‐day operations as needed or assigned by the site lead
- Support on-call rotation schedule
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience, additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
- Currently possess a DoD security clearance
- Active CompTIA Security or CCNP Security certification
- Active CCNA Certification
- Knowledge of LAN switching, including Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP), Port Security, Spanning Tree, and Layer 2 and 3 switching configurations
- Experienced with Layer 3 routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, etc.) and best practices on implementation
- Experienced with programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting encryption devices (KG‐175D, KG-250x, KG-175G, etc.) at network points of presence including management via GEM-X
- Experienced with Cisco ISE and Cisco DNA
- Experienced with DoD COMSEC management processes and procedures
- Experienced with DoD network and application security hardening requirements
- Experienced with L1/L2 network troubleshooting (NIPR and SIPR)
- Experienced working at the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB)
- Knowledge of Air Force, Pentagon, and/or AFNCR
