This position supports the discovery, implementation, and sustainment of a ServiceNow suite for a dedicated Department of Defense (DoD) community with significant leadership visibility. The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist will ensure the delivery of high-quality ServiceNow solutions through rigorous testing, including the use of the ServiceNow Automated Testing Framework (ATF). This role requires a detail-oriented professional with experience in testing methodologies, automation, and scripting to validate functionality, performance, and security of ServiceNow implementations.
This position is based 4 days onsite/1 day remote.

The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist will ensure the delivery of high-quality ServiceNow solutions through rigorous testing, including the use of the ServiceNow Automated Testing Framework (ATF). Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ServiceNow implementations, with a focus on Automated Testing Framework (ATF)
- Perform manual and automated testing to validate the functionality, usability, performance, and security of ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, HAM, SAM, and HRSD
- Configure and execute automated test suites using ServiceNow ATF to support regression and functional testing
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to identify test requirements and define acceptance criteria for user stories
- Validate custom workflows, business rules, integrations, and scripts to ensure compliance with business requirements
- Troubleshoot issues, document defects, and work closely with developers to resolve them
- Perform end-to-end testing to validate data integrity and system performance across integrated systems
- Ensure test environments are properly configured and aligned with project needs, including test data preparation and reset scripts
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of QA best practices, standards, and processes
- Document and maintain detailed QA artifacts, including test results, defect logs, and testing metrics
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, to provide insights on QA activities
- Ensure all QA activities comply with DoD security frameworks, including RMF, NIST 800-171, and CMMC standards
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline) or equivalent experience
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance for enterprise IT systems, with at least 2 years working with ServiceNow
- Experience using ServiceNow Automated Testing Framework (ATF) to design and execute automated test cases
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow scripting (e.g., JavaScript, Glide API) to support test automation and troubleshooting
- Experience in DoD or federal environments is highly desirable
- Certifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required
- ITIL certification or additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CIS-ITSM) are a plus
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, workflows, and integration points
- Proficiency in using automation tools, including ServiceNow ATF, and creating reusable test scripts
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools such as Jira or ServiceNow Agile Development
- Skills:
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proactive and methodical approach to identifying and resolving defects
- Clearance:
- Active Security clearance required; eligibility for higher-level clearance is a plus
