What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infusion Nurse position at IQ PARNTERS?
A great Medical Practice specialized in Integrative Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is searching for a full-time, permanent.
The purpose of this role is to execute the IV. Nurses in this role must be compassionate, patient, organized, able to multi-task and be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
Responsibilities in this role include:
- Proficiency with IV placement
- Experience with accessing midlines, PICC lines and ports
- Must be comfortable working with adult and pediatric populations
- Escorting patient from waiting room to IV start room and explaining what patient will be receiving in their infusion that day
- Implementing plan of care from the practitioners for infusions, injections, FSM machines, UVBI and ozone treatments
- Drawing blood for labs and specialty kits
- Prepping IV orders and restocking supplies for the following day
- Monitoring patient throughout infusion and providing remedies to any side effects as necessary
- Charting notes upon conclusion of treatment
- Alerting Nursing Director of any issues with patients or if we are low on supplies
- Collaborating effectively with patient care coordinators and colon hydro-therapist with regard to patient care and coordination of appointments while at GMI
- Teaching patients how to care for midlines/PICC lines and how to give self-injections at home
- Cleaning start rooms after patient use and the IV suite at the end of the day
- Placing post-infusion follow up calls after patient’s first infusion
