What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Communications Analyst position at IQ Solutions, Inc.?
Role Summary:
As a Health Communications Analyst in IQ Solutions' Public Health Response team, you will support a government contract with the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Your responsibilities will include supporting the planning and implementation of communications strategies and tactics, including media outreach and development of corresponding messages and materials, consumer- and health care provider-outreach and development of related products and campaigns and programs for multicultural audiences. You are part strategist, part practitioner ('a do-er').
Candidates without experience with health and communications will not be considered for this position and should not apply. Preference will be given to candidates who have knowledge and experience related to opioids, addiction, and/or chronic pain.
What will you be engaged in day-to-day?
- Researching and developing communications materials for key audiences (consumers, health care providers, researchers). This may include eblasts, social media content, print and web content, pitches, presentations, and ads.
- Preparing key strategy documents for the client, including communications plans, workplans, and editorial calendars. Drafting informal strategy guidance for the client.
- Developing innovative communications strategies informed by analytics and audience research that work across web, social media, email marketing, earned and paid media outreach, stakeholder engagement and other communications channels.
- Researching key stakeholder organizations and conducting outreach to support collaborations and promote increased reach and engagement with key audiences.
- Identifying, implementing, and owning processes and procedures that streamline and improve the overall experience for clients and colleagues.
What qualifications will help you succeed?
- Bachelors or masters degree in communications, marketing, public health, or an applicable field of study, or the equivalent education or experience, plus a minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of maternal and child health measures, special issues and health programs through coursework or job experience
- Experience engaging researchers and a knowledge of the lifecycle of scientific research.
- Have a passion for and experience with work designed to address opioids, addiction and/or chronic pain.
- Experience working directly with the federal government or in an agency environment on federal Government or nonprofit projects.
- Manage multiple projects from conception to completion with excellent time management and proactive communication.
- Ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team environment, think creatively, and exercise good business judgment, flexibility, and responsiveness to changing requirements and conditions.
- Feel comfortable learning new systems and tools.
- Commitment to continuous learning; set and pursue stretch goals.
