Job Summary
The Data Services Manager is responsible for leading and managing IQGeo’s data services department. This includes developing and implementing data services policies and procedures, overseeing the performance of data services technicians, and ensuring that customers receive a high level of service. The Manager of Data Services also works with other departments to improve the overall customer experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages data services team of seven (14) direct reports
Duties/Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers via multiple channels - phone, email, or chat
- Review customer data and provide services quotes for ETL (Extract-Transform-Load), data migration, and data input into IQGeo product suite
- Develop and implement data services policies and procedures
- Oversee the performance of data services technicians
- Ensure that customers receive a high level of service through KPI metrics
- Work with other departments to improve the overall customer experience
- Conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews for data services technicians
- Establish strategies that will contribute to the CSO revenue goals
- Resolve customer escalation and issues
- Analyze customer feedback and make recommendations for improvement
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices
- Work with other members of the data services team to improve the quality and efficiency of our data services.
- Stay up to date on the latest technical developments in the industry.
Required Skills/Abilities
Essential
- Prior experience managing a services or customer support department
- Excellent communication, client relationship and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make challenging decisions in a rapidly changing software environment
- Ability to work independently or part of a team
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with open-source software technologies (Apache, OpenLayers)
- Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) or web mapping
- Experience with Auto-Cad, Microsoft Visio, PDF
- Experience with SQL and RDBMS technology (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLite, SQL Server)
- Experience with ETL tools, such as Safe Software’s FME Workbench
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable
- Enterprise Integration, especially web services
- Experience integrating new resources and processes through acquisitions or organic growth.
- Collaboration systems, such as JIRA Confluence or MS SharePoint
- One of: Java, .Net or Python
Education and Experience
- Bachelor or Masters degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of comparable technology and industry experience

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
