Robotics Field Engineer
The Robotics Field Engineer (RFE) will have the ability to manage all operational issues with robots, system software, and stations, while prioritizing daily activities at customer site. The RFE will work with a support team to proactively identify issues impacting operations and address them during planned downtime windows. The RFE requires a hands-on individual who will manage customer relationships, has electro-mechanical aptitude and familiarity with Linux/command line.
Responsibilities will include:
· Effective communication with on-site operations team and support team.
· Maintain and troubleshoot all robotic and structure issues causing operational interruptions.
· Manage system operations and resolve system issues on daily basis.
· Collect information on any system issues and provide feedback to support team daily.
· Implement recommendations from support team and provide updates.
· Perform recommended upgrade or rework of engineering.
· Complete quality checklist and send it to the appropriate lead.
· Maintain all electro-mechanical tools, and spare parts at all-times.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree and two years of experience in the Robotics, Mechanical or Electrical field.
- Automated system and software-based controls
- Electrical and electronic principles
- Technical skills including familiarity with Linux, Java, XML, SQL, databases and PLC programs
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
