Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer with extensive experience in document scanning, OCR, and data extraction solutions within a high-volume, multi-agency processing environment. In this role, you will work with software developers and OpenText Content Management admins to integrate Document Capture services from workstation scanning to content storage. The current document capture solution supports a wide range of standard forms ingestion, along with other semi-structured and unstructured content inbound processing. Your ability to support a Machine learning-enhanced Content Analytics capture solution deployment will be increasingly important over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the stable operation of the automated Ephesoft(now Tungsten Automation) document capture solution, including workstation software configurations and scanner drivers, network connectivity, metadata validation templates, workflow, and release scripts that integrate with front-end business applications, and back-end content repositories.
- Provide ad-hoc end-user training, and update training documentation as needed.
- Responsible for managing all levels of configurations within the document capture solution, including UI templates covering data extraction and quality validation steps, and batch class-based processing.
- Work with software developers and OpenTextadmins to integrate document capture services within end-to-end business operations processes.
- Provide both local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location. Support includes general maintenance, upgrades, and new installations of servers and applications.
- Apply advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications, and ensuring fault tolerance. Performs vulnerability management.
- Promptly resolve high-priority end-user and automated processing issues
Required Experience:
- Five (5) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, two of which are hands-on with specialized in scanning, OCR and document capture integrated solutions offered by suppliers such as Ephesoft / Kofax (now Tungsten Automation) or OpenText.
- Two (2) years experience in high-volume production support of Ephesoftor OpenText capture systems containing sensitive information such as PII, PHI, and HIPPA data in a multi-tenant environment.
Clearance/Certificate Requirements:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- IAT Level II Certification - (CCNA, CYSA, Security CE, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
- Document capture administrator certification from Ephesoftor OpenText
Computing Environment:
- Ephesoft Windows workstation-based document capture software, connected to 350 dedicated scanners and multi-function (copy, print, scan) devices.
- Windows-based Ephesoft processing server that routes documents to OpenText Content Management-based business applications.
- OpenText AppWorks, with CounterPoint ReadyDocs overlay application.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
