Job Description :
LSI requires the service of a Big Data Architect / Analyst to provide subject matter expertise to the ASA(FM&C) SOIC to assist in finding big data analytic methods using large and complex data sets from diverse sources for computational analysis within the existing PPBE process, systems, and tools across multiple tiers (Army commands worldwide, HQDA, DOD enterprise and other Federal Agencies). Develops, engineers, maintains, runs tests, evaluates, and implements big data infrastructure, projects, tools, and solutions within an organization, working with the latest database technologies, in order to get results from vast amounts of data quickly.
Responsibilities :
Responsible for providing state-of-the-art data quality and visualization products and Business Intelligence driven methodologies and analytical automation capabilities within an Army context, using sound systems engineering and scientific data driven problem solving methodologies, big data analytics methods and strategies (Dashboards and Reports).Analyzes data models to ensure they are efficient for developing proper analysis. Discerns customer requirements and confirms models address them.Performs data normalization and denormalization as required.Researches and analyzes potential new data sources.Partners with developers to execute engineering solutions. Liaises with Army Financial clients to find requirements and feedback. Collaborates with stakeholders to define use cases.Programs, analyzes, and runs tests on new or modified software programs, including documentation, diagram, and flowchart, and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines.Conducts compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs. Runs in-depth testing, detects problems, recommends solutions, and determines if program requirements have been met. Recommends program improvements or corrections.Enters instructions into computer to test program for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to establishment standards.Provides innovative computational and visualization products using technical expertise on systems engineering, reliability analyses, finite element computational analysis, statistical, vectorial analyses, predictive modeling, and real time data and process automation to inform decision making to enable maximum purchasing power.Designs, develops and implements interactive dashboards, reports and graphics to increase accessibility and visualization of complex data insights.Maintains and revises existing data visualizations, including interactive dashboards, reports, graphs, and graphics.Troubleshoots and debugs front- and back-end processes. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and clients to define, design and deploy solutions and enhancements that meet the needs of the company, its clients, and end users.Configures a design that satisfies business requirements and desired specifications. Designs data visualizations that analyze data from various internal and external sources. Researches, evaluates and implements new tools, models and processes to optimize efficiency, reliability and usability of data visualizations.Monitors product performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation. Writes documentation to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.Participate in discussions, collaboration and synchronization activities to facilitate effective change management and business solutions from requirements, design, testing, implementation and maintenance support.Provides templates for visualization tools and algorithms to process data and conduct modelling analysis (e.g. traditional and non-traditional intelligent predictive modelling).Uses statistical data quality and measurement system methodologies to assess data confidence intervals.Uses industry best in class quantitative problem solving and improvement methods to deliver results.Develops data collection plans for BI products by collaborating effectively with internal end-users, cross-functional software development teams, Database Administrators and Developers, and technical support and / or sustaining engineering teams to solve problems, implement new solutions, and deliver successfully against high operational standards of system availability and reliability.Utilizes software to conduct analyses and manage data processes.Recommends alternative data or analysis solutions to management based on available data and business needs. Implements new data or analysis processes based on changing business or industry conditions. May develop documentation and policies on data collection, transformation and deployment for business intelligence applications, reports and requirements.Engage in requirements gathering with clients or other business partners.Review collected data for additional validation and collection integrity, oversee deployment of data to a data warehouse.Test new business intelligence solutions, trialing tools and software that improve report development and end-user experience.Requirements :
Experience : 10-15 Years of related experienceDesired Experience : HQDA, ASA(FM&C) Experience, Army PPBES, Army level Financial Management, Army Staff Experience, military organization experience as a contractorEducation :
