What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN- Mobile Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist position at IQVIA In Home Clinical Solutions (MDx)?
This is a field-based per-diem position. The Mobile Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist travels to patient homes to perform blood draws, EKGs, and Macular Edema eye exams for lab pre-testing, ongoing treatment monitoring, and clinical research. The Market Dynamics’ Operations team contacts the Medical Assistant with patient referrals in their geographic area as they become available based on patient program enrollments. Additionally, the position includes a flexible scheduling process, where our team is the liaison of communication between the patient and Medical Assistant.
Location:
This is a mobile, in-home position that includes mileage reimbursement. Medical Assistants have complete discretion on whether they wish to accept referrals presented to them, and are paid per visit.
Responsibilities:
Collect and store blood samples from patients
Adhere to laboratory safety policies and distribute blood specimens appropriately to designated labs
Perform electrocardiograms for patient pre-testing
Perform Macular Edema eye exams for patient pre-testing (training is provided)
Monitor storage and inventory of supplies
Maintain clean and healthy work environment
Manage scheduling communications with network administration teams
Qualifications:
2 years performing phlebotomy services
1 year performing EKG services
License or certification as a Certified Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist (Preferred)
Willing to travel up to 100 miles and perform clinical services in patient homes Ability to
perform an electrocardiogram (equipment will be supplied)
Ability to build rapport with patients
Familiarity with medical software and equipment
Strong organization and communication skills
Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
Must be able to pass a drug screening
Position Type:
Per-diem. The Mobile Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist is not required to complete a set number of visits per month.
Compensation:
Mobile Medical Assistants / Phlebotomists are paid per visit; this is not an hourly or salaried position.
Pay: $100.00 - $200.00 per day
