We are seeking an Assistant Scientist to join IQVIA Laboratories at Indianapolis, IN.

Responsible for performing routine analysis and laboratory testing procedures to obtain data from pre-clinical and/or clinical specimens. Provides routine documentation and review of work performed in a timely manner.
What you’ll be doing:
Performing and documenting analytical procedures in accordance with methods and regulatory guidelines.
Exercising good judgment in assessing whether analytical procedures are proceeding according to expectations and that the results are within acceptable tolerances through routine data analysis.
Identifying abnormal progress of analytical procedures, potential quality failures, or otherwise unusual results and escalating to senior lab personnel immediately.
Preparing data analysis results for upload to the LIMS system under the guidance of senior-level staff.
Preparing buffers and solutions for analysis, as required.
Assisting in writing laboratory procedures and techniques.
Training junior level staff and assisting with onboarding.
Performing and documenting calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment as assigned.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Basic knowledge of laboratory quality systems and laboratory procedures.
The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:
Proficiency with pipetting.
Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices, including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling.
Experience working with automation or specialized laboratory equipment.
Proficiency with more complex laboratory calculations regarding batches and specimens, including averages, means, standard deviations, and various quality control metrics.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $52,500.00 - $87,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.Salary : $52,500 - $87,500
