As the Associate Director – Clinical Safety Testing, you will serve as a technical leader overseeing complex harmonization projects and the implementation of new initiatives.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing technical leadership to lab staff and cross-functional teams.
- Leading and developing the execution of local and global laboratory technical support across various specialty areas.
- Developing and leading the global laboratory quality program and database, performing statistical analysis and quality control performance reviews.
- Overseeing complex projects and operational harmonization on a global scale.
- Driving new initiatives globally and cross-functionally, ensuring global execution.
- Serving as a subject matter expert for new platforms, assays, and kit selection, driving implementation.
- Leading proficiency testing and accreditation programs across global labs to ensure harmonization.
- Acting as a technical SME to liaise with IT/systems teams for appropriate functionality.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 9 years of experience in a clinical, research, academic, or commercial/production laboratory environment.
- Strong understanding of the clinical trial process and cross-functional dependencies.
- Ability to influence and motivate stakeholders to achieve aligned goals.
- Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, clinical laboratory assays, quality control, and validation procedures.
- Proficiency with complex laboratory calculations including averages, means, standard deviations, and various quality control metrics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
