We are seeking a Histologist to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA.

As a Histology Technician, you will perform gross trimming of tissues and organ systems, processing, paraffin embedding, and sectioning for pathological analysis in our pathology laboratory.
What you’ll be doing:
Perform routine and non-routine activities involved in the preparation of slides for microscopic evaluation by pathologists.
Secure the slice sample on a slide and use specialized dyes to stain it, highlighting cellular structures for pathologists or research scientists.
Operate and perform routine and non-routine maintenance on histology laboratory equipment (including balances, tissue processors, embedding units, microtomes, cryostat, automatic stainers, automatic coverslippers, automatic cassette and slide labelers, microscopes, immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization autostainers).
Troubleshoot equipment with minimal supervision.
Ensure compliance with all local, federal, CLIA, and CAPA regulations.
Adhere to laboratory quality control policies, document all quality control activities, and maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
Maintain proficiency and training requirements.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
What we are looking for:
High School Diploma with 1 year of relevant laboratory and/or Clinical Trials experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Certification from a recognized certifying agency, HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) preferred but not required.
Applicable certifications and licenses as required by country, state, and/or other regulatory bodies.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to prioritize and drive results with a high emphasis on quality.
Ability to work as part of a team.
The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:
Detailed knowledge of pathology, specialized laboratory equipment, clinical testing procedures, staining techniques, and applicable laboratory testing regulations.
Ability to perform routine embedding in a variety of tissues and cut routine and frozen sections.
Problem-solving ability and clear communication with peers and superiors.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $61,100.00 - $101,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.Salary : $61,100 - $101,800
