Laboratory Associate 1

We are seeking Laboratory Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories at Durham, NC.

Responsible for performing a variety of routine testing procedures to obtain data for use in clinical trials research.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Perform routine analysis of specimens and document results in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

• Evaluate validity of analytical results against lab computer system algorithms.

• Identify and document potential performance errors or unusual results and escalate to senior lab personnel.

• Prepare buffers and solutions for analysis as required.

• Perform secondary review of analytical results when signed-off as competent.

• Store post-analysis samples and reagents.

• Assist in the development and writing of new laboratory procedures and techniques.

• Maintain good housekeeping of the lab environment, consistent with 6S standards.

What we are looking for:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or Bachelor’s Degree (some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BS in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology).

• 6 months relevant lab experience.

• Basic knowledge of lab principles, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and applicable regulatory agency standards.

• Statement: Other equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:

• Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures, including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling.

• Knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and terminology.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $41,100.00 - $68,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
