Pre-Analytical Services Associate

We are seeking a Pre-Analytical Services Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories at our Valencia, CA location.

The Specimen Management Associate is responsible for assisting with a variety of routine activities associated with the receipt, storage, and shipment of clinical specimens.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Assist with the receipt of consignments and shipments.

• Open shipments and perform quality checks on patient info forms.

• Ensure correct disposal or recycling of kit shipping supplies.

• Conduct secondary checks to ensure specimens are not left in kit packaging.

• Ship specimens for long-term storage or client disposition.

• Support and respond to after-hour alarms and critical functions.

• Assist in equipment maintenance and supply inventory functions.

• Perform general clean-up of workstations.

What we are looking for:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.

• Other equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:

• Knowledge of basic lab principles and practices.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $33,600.00 - $56,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
