We are seeking a Purchasing Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories at Indianapolis, IN.

The Purchasing Associate will manage vendor-managed inventory (VMI), purchase orders, order execution, and order receipt, ensuring efficient stock management and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collect all deliveries, log, perform quality control, receipt in, store, and distribute as required.
• Maintain stock on shelves in a tidy manner, executing stock rotation in appropriate date order.
• Record all stock movements and issues using the inventory control system.
• Ensure accurate data entry across all inventory systems.
• Operate inventory control systems, including Excel, to facilitate stock processing duties.
• Participate in stock cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Liaise with internal customers, suppliers, and the Purchasing and Finance departments on stock-related issues.
• Review the inventory system and monitor stock levels to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.

What we are looking for:

• High school graduate required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, and close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on the assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
• Understanding of purchasing fundamentals, including creating requisitions and managing receipts and invoices.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLookup, pivot tables, formulas, and arrays) and good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $41,100.00 - $68,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
