Specimen Receipt and Processing Associate

We are seeking Specimen Receipt and Processing Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA.

Responsible for assisting with a variety of routine activities associated with the receipt of clinical specimens.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Assist with the receipt of consignments and shipments.

• Open shipments and quality check patient info forms, escalating issues to senior staff.

• Dispose of or recycle kit shipping supplies correctly.

• Ensure specimens are not left in kit packaging by conducting secondary checks.

• Support and respond to after-hour alarms and other critical functions.

• Assist in maintenance of equipment and supply inventory functions.

• Perform various administrative duties as required.

• Organize the work area as requested by management.

What we are looking for:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:

• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $33,600.00 - $56,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
