IR Centers is a multidisciplinary private practice looking to expand our team in McLean, VA. We are a management service company that establishes minimally invasive outpatient medical centers across the country, specializing in Interventional Radiology. This is an excellent opportunity for an AR Manager to join our growing team as we continue to recruit and hire medical staff for our 18 centers and counting across the U.S.
Job Summary:
IR Centers is seeking an experienced and proactive RCM Manager to lead and optimize our revenue cycle processes across multiple outpatient locations. This individual will manage accounts receivable (AR), oversee denial and appeal workflows, collaborate with front-end teams, and ensure timely reimbursement. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, systems-savvy, and possess deep expertise in healthcare billing and collections, with a strong understanding of insurance and compliance protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze accounts receivable trends to identify and resolve bottlenecks and cash flow delays.
- Oversee and manage the full cycle of claim denials and appeals, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
- Collaborate closely with front-end teams (e.g., authorizations, scheduling) to improve clean claim submission rates.
- Communicate with patients and internal staff to resolve billing questions and disputes.
- Create and maintain reporting dashboards to track KPIs, AR aging, denial trends, and other RCM metrics.
- Evaluate and streamline workflows across multiple EHR and PM systems.
- Lead and support AR and billing staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Maintain compliance with payer policies, HIPAA, and other regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting.
- Proven expertise in denial management and appeals processes.
- Strong working knowledge of EHR/PM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead independently and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-site organization.
Preferred Skills:
- Broad experience across the revenue cycle spectrum, including coding, authorizations, and benefits verification.
- Prior experience in radiology or interventional radiology.
- Understanding of commercial insurance plans, Medicare/Medicaid, and patient financial responsibilities.
- Comfort with patient communication regarding billing inquiries.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with AI tools for task automation or analytics.
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and payer regulations.
