Job Overview
The Billing & Collections Specialist is responsible for contributing to and ensuring the operational success of the billing department. They will be responsible for accurately processing billing invoices, ensuring timely payment collections, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining comprehensive billing records. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in billing software and financial systems.

Responsibilities & Duties
Generate and distribute accurate billing invoices to clients in a timely manner.
Address billing inquiries and concerns from clients in a professional and timely manner.
Reconcile billing statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records, including invoices, payments, and customer information.
Ensure compliance with company billing policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
Contact clients with overdue accounts via phone, email, or mail to negotiate payment arrangements and facilitate debt resolution.
Negotiate payment plans and settlements with clients based on their financial situations and organizational policies.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency in billing process and procedures.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IRA rules and regulations.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless experience for clients and support overall business objectives.
Other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous experience in billing, accounting, or finance is a plus.
Previous experience with Salesforce and / or Net Suites preferred, not required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
