Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Retail Merchandiser to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that products are displayed effectively in retail environments, enhancing the overall customer experience. You will collaborate with store management and other team members to maintain visual standards and inventory control while providing exceptional customer service. You will work independently to meet the needs of AAFES store locations at Cannon AFB Exchange. Total hours expectations are approx 10-15 hours monthly, 1099 contract , flexible schedule. Supervisory opprotunities.
Responsibilities
- Clean and organize merchandise displays to create an inviting shopping environment.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Utilize Adobe Illustrator for creating visually appealing marketing materials.
- Provide outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries and product information.
- Implement visual design strategies to enhance product presentation and drive sales.
- Communicate effectively with store personnel to ensure alignment on merchandising goals.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory control processes.
- Market products through effective display techniques and promotional strategies.
- Supervise merchandising activities, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail merchandising or a related field is preferred.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Base access or ability to obtain legal basae access
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage customers positively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Experience in inventory control processes is desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating leadership when supervising others.
