The Photonics Systems Engineer will be responsible for researching and developing commercial laser systems, particularly RF excited CO2 lasers. Key responsibilities include planning and leading research and development projects, evaluating laser performance through modeling and hands-on experimental methods, and analyzing and presenting test data to technical staff, external partners, and customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field. Relevant experience in execution of engineering documentation, documenting technical work and results, and working with contemporary computing and programming environments (MS Office, Python, MathLab) is also essential.
