Our Solon, Ohio site focuses on designing and manufacturing both projection X-ray and 3D Computed Tomography (CT) systems, integrating state-of-the-art X-ray generation and detection technologies.
Job Description:
The job title will be determined based on the successful candidate's qualifications. This position will focus on developing, implementing, evaluating, and applying advanced CT image generation and post-processing techniques for CT scanners, including photon-counting CT systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in developing and implementing CT image generation methods, including data correction, image reconstruction, and image processing.
- Design, implement, and optimize conventional CT imaging algorithms for numerical efficiency and robustness.
- Develop and apply machine learning-based imaging algorithms to enhance image quality.
- Support integrating new CT scanner systems, including data collection, analysis, software development for data analysis, and experimental design to test algorithms and new features.
Education & Experience:
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree with more than 4 years experienice in Engineering or Science field. Graduate research (and internship) experiences in Machine Learning and medical Imaging are preferred.
- Strong background in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Image Processing is required.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Keras for image processing.
- Strong background in advanced deep neural network (DNN) models and familiarity with image processing in Python and C .
- Excellent skills in Mathematics, Numerical optimization, and statistics.
- Understanding of CT physics.
- Experience in designing and developing CT scanners or similar medical imaging equipment is highly preferred.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C , CUDA/GPU, MATLAB, and Python.
