Essential Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance tasks, including completion of all related documentation.
• Troubleshoots & maintains PLCs and variable speed drive controlled equipment.
• Troubleshoots equipment process controls, instrumentation, & calibration.
• Installs, bends, and runs conduit and wiring, rigid aluminum and emt.
• Comprehends and verifies wiring diagrams.
• Project planning, equipment upgrades, modification, and new installation.
• Performs mechanical work, valve replacement, bearing replacement, and motor & gearbox replacement.
• Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs controllers including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Provides assistance to facility, line, machine, mechanics, and operators.
• Provides essential documentation and completes research for root cause analysis when needed.
• Affirms maintenance role in the HACCP procedure along with all other departments.
• Able to assess and function effectively in an ever-changing environment.
• On call or able to reply to calls after hours.
• Be able to communicate between multiple departments in scheduling work.
• Maintain a clean work area.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience:
• Electrical and mechanical ability as defined.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated work experience in an industrial environment.
• Technical school training in the form of certified courses, technical degree or related experience.
• Facility and facility support equipment training or experience.
• Refrigeration and/or ammonia refrigeration experience or training.
• Electrician
• Classified as General Business
• Appropriate English language ability in order to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
