Program Summary
Refugee Career Pathway Program is designed to support refugees in achieving self-sufficiency by providing them with training, skills development and employment opportunities aligned with their qualifications and experience. The program offers services such as career counseling, job readiness training, credential evaluation and connection with employers to help refugee transition into their chosen career field in USA.
Position Summary
The Career Coach will provide training connections and career coaching to refugees statewide and assist and support them to gain employment and advance within their chosen field. Career Coach will build on existing partnerships, employers, training providers, and educational institutions to build new and enhance existing onramps to career pathways.
The participants served will be interested in training and employment opportunities.
Essential Functions
- Provide guidance on culturally specific recruitment and outreach to ensure diverse participants are served
- Assist with outreach and recruitment of participant
- Provide career mapping, planning, and coaching including basic skills development
- Provide support services and placement support to all participants.
- Serve as initial point of contact for all potential participants, providing information about available services
