Description Assists the elderly and others in interpreting filing Medicare and other insurance claims. Interprets supplemental policies and answers questions pertaining to coverage and claims and assists in the filing of claims. Assuring that all required financial and insurance information is obtained from patients before or as soon as possible after the admission of inpatients and selected outpatient visits. Shift: M-F 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM Requirements Job Qualifications: Must be a High School graduate or equivalent. Two years of on-the-job experience in a like or similar position is desired. Must have a working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, welfare agencies, insurances, etc. Knowledge of medical terminology is required. Good communication skills. Computer experience is required Physical Demands : Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
