Description The Telemetry Monitor Technician provides accurate cardiac rhythm surveillance through continuous monitoring of adult telemetry patients.
Follows a standard procedure for rhythm observation and documentation which contributes to positive patient outcomes for cardiac monitored patients. Requirements High school diploma required. Listing as a CNA in North Carolina or previous monitor technician experience preferred. BLS required. Successful completion of an approved EKG/dysrythmia course within the first 2 weeks of hire; must pass dysrhythmia test. Secretarial/clerical experience preferred with knowledge of medical terminology. Basic computer skills required. Must posses excellent customer service and communication skills. Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
