Description
Works independently to provide diagnostic speech and language therapy evaluations and services to patients as prescribed by a physician, consistent with the agency’s policies and procedures, standards of practice, and regulations.
Provides speech and language services to adults and children with speech, swallowing, voice, language, and other communicative disorders. Has full access to patient health information.
Shift: M-F, flexible hours, holiday/weekend rotation
Requirements
- Currently licensed in North Carolina to practice Speech and Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech and language pathology by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- One year professional experience, preferred
- Vital Stim Certified, preferred
- Experience in Modified Barium Swallow Studies, preferred
- Current North Carolina Driver’s license and transportation for patient home visits
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
