About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Systems Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and support of our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong technical background across both Windows and Linux environments, along with experience supporting cloud services and cybersecurity best practices.
At this time, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas for this position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Additionally, we are only considering applicants who are currently residing in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex, as this role requires local presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, and Linux environments.
- Support and manage cloud-based systems, especially Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Implement and support Web API integrations.
- Upgrade, install, and configure application software and hardware systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide end-user support across the organization.
- Administer system permissions and manage user accounts and access controls.
- Requires customer calls supporting tickets.
- Maintain internal networks and network file systems.
- Oversee website functionality, monitor and optimize connectivity, and support server hardware/software deployment.
- Track, escalate, and follow up on technical issues with third-party service providers.
- Conduct regular security assessments and monitoring activities.
- Stay informed and ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Perform routine audits and ensure reliable backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Able to work with offshore technical teams, Techs and DBA's
- Work ours: 7-4 or 8-5, Fulltime in office.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years current experience as Systems Administration with the following:
- Proven experience in systems administration, ideally at a mid-senior level.
- Strong expertise in Windows and Linux server environments.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Experienced with PowerShell Scripting
- Familiarity with web integrations, API implementation, and IIS management.
- Knowledge of network administration, cybersecurity practices, and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Experience in Oil & Gas or Agriculture industries are a plus
Preferred Certifications (not required):
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- CompTIA Security
- Linux
- ITIL or equivalent
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
