Job Summary
The Electrical Maintenance Lead oversees the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems powering mining equipment. This leadership role ensures reliability and efficiency of infrastructure, including power distribution, backup systems, cooling systems, and mining rigs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of electricians, coordinate preventive maintenance, and lead electrical infrastructure upgrades to support 24/7 operation.
- Ensure all electrical systems are properly maintained, and repairs are conducted efficiently.
- Oversee and assist in diagnosing and resolving electrical faults, power supply issues, and equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain an inventory of critical spare parts and tools.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, equipment performance, electrical usage, and downtime incidents.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical maintenance, including 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in high-demand environments.
- Advanced understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and backup generators.
- Electrical Journeyman's or Master Electrician License.
- NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Certification.
