IREN is currently looking for an Environmental, Health, Safety, And Security Manager to join our Sweetwater, TX team. The primary focus of the Environmental, Health, Safety, And Security Manager is to maintain documentation of processes, produce progress reports, prepare presentations, and develop new policies when necessary. Furthermore, it is essential to coordinate with all departments, ensuring safety compliance in all areas. The focus will be ensuring that employees in their organization work in a safe environment. They commonly focus on identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing solutions to prevent injuries from occurring.

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize the EHSS Management System to ensure that clearly defined processes are fit for purpose and maintained to manage business requirements, risks, and opportunities.
- Embed a proactive culture of continuous improvement and effectively manage change in a quickly growing business across various jurisdictions and cultures.
- Provide system and process for regular review and assessment of health and safety, and environment risks.
- Conduct regular safety and environmental performance reviews and assessments to ensure that facility standards and operational areas are in compliance with governmental regulations and Iris Energy policy.
- Work proactively with operations, management, and stakeholders to support and facilitate the development of effective HSE programs across the operations.
- Oversee safety and environmental reporting, performance measurements, and results to company and public agencies when required.
- Facilitate investigation of all incidents relating to HSE, develop actionable insights, and share learning across the operations.
- Develop annual and long-range safety, health, and training goals, objectives, action plans.
- Degree or post-secondary diploma in either Environmental Safety, or professional accreditation.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in occupational or process safety ideally across different operations including construction, utilities, electrical infrastructure, or industrial businesses.
- Experience with legislation, a working knowledge of industry best practices, and proven experience with implementing HSE systems and practices driving high performance.
- Effective communication and well-developed influencing skills; proven ability to relate well to other people in a wide range of contexts and levels; as well as working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Outstanding consultative, critical thinking, and analytical skills with the ability to operate strategically.
- An understanding of construction processes and risk mitigation particularly as it relates to electrical infrastructure safety.
- Experience developing and working within the framework of defined HSE management systems.
- Data-driven insight – apply data analytics and judgment to draw insights that inform business decision-making.
- Demonstrated capacity to execute plans and hold self and others accountable for their performance and deliverables.
- Sense of urgency to drive outcomes, challenge accepted practices, and deliver innovative solutions.
- Working knowledge and experience with computer software-related tools to provide compliance, assurance, and shared learning.

- A clear Criminal Record Check is required.
- Must provide own steel toed work boots, all other PPE supplied.
- Must be able to reliably commute to the operations site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.
