Job Description:
The Electrical Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the facility's electrical systems that power mining equipment.
This leadership role ensures the reliability and efficiency of electrical infrastructure, including power distribution, backup systems, cooling systems, and mining rigs.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of electrical circuits, assessments, repairs, and installs for industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of maintenance electricians and provide guidance on daily tasks, troubleshooting, and project execution.
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems, including power distribution units (PDUs), transformers, backup power systems, and mining equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, power supply issues, and equipment malfunctions.
- Oversee the maintenance and testing of backup power systems, including battery systems, and generators.
- Monitor and maintain cooling systems to prevent overheating of mining hardware.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical maintenance, including 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven experience working with high-capacity power systems, mining hardware, and cooling systems.
- Advanced understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and backup generators.
- Familiarity with cooling systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient with electrical testing tools and software.
- Electrical Journeyman's or Master Electrician License.
- NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Certification.
- OSHA 10 Safety Certification.
