IREN is currently looking for a US – Miner Repair Technician to join our Childress, TX team.
Responsibilities
- Board-level repair of Bitcoin miners and other servers.
- Maintaining the physical network of the data center.
- Physical installation, removal, and movement of miners.
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation for all services performed.
- Using electronics testing equipment to troubleshoot, repair, and test faulty Bitcoin miners.
- Maintain proper documentation and track repairs using our work order system.
- Working with the IT systems engineer to configure and maintain our network infrastructure.
- Ensuring all work is conducted safely and efficiently according to guidelines and regulations.
- Assisting with other facility repairs and special project execution.
- Supporting the Supervisor in developing and implementing short- and long-term maintenance programs and standards.
- Conducting regular inspections of the work environment and equipment to identify potential issues and make repairs as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Pass a Criminal Record Check.
- Experience repairing electronics, computer boards, or other relevant experience will be given priority.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working in a variety of indoor and outdoor industrial settings, including in adverse weather conditions and at heights.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in challenging conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible with changing work conditions and required tasks, willingness to take on projects that are a departure from everyday duties.
- A clear Criminal Record Check is required.
- Must provide own steel-toed work boots; all other PPE supplied.
- Must be able to reliably commute to the operations site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.
