Senior Data Engineer (Azure & Databricks)
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with enterprise-level data warehousing (DW) expertise, advanced data engineering skills, and extensive experience in Databricks and Azure.
🚨 Healthcare experience is a mandatory requirement—candidates without prior healthcare data experience will not be considered. 🚨
This is a contract role, and we are looking for someone with immediate availability to contribute to large-scale data initiatives in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in building and optimizing cloud-based data platforms, designing scalable ETL pipelines, and processing complex healthcare datasets using Databricks and Azure.
Required Qualifications (Must-Have):
- 8 years of experience in software engineering using Spark with Python and SQL.
- 8 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, including ETL, data pipeline development, and data transformation.
- 6 years of experience working with enterprise cloud platforms, specifically Azure, with expertise in Databricks, Snowflake, and/or Microsoft Fabric.
- 2 years of healthcare data experience—must have worked with claims, eligibility, benefits, pricing, underwriting, stop-loss reinsurance, reserves, or similar healthcare datasets.
- Experience with data orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Function Apps, DBT, etc.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, etc. for automating data pipeline deployments.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
- Deep understanding of healthcare data models and business concepts.
- Experience building business intelligence solutions in Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience leading a team of data engineers in an enterprise environment.
- Experience collaborating with actuaries and data scientists to optimize data engineering processes for analytics and modeling.
