About the Job
iRiS Recruiting Solutions is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement control systems for custom automation projects, collaborating with mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure system functionality and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
- Develop and implement HMI and SCADA systems for industrial automation applications.
- Design and integrate robotic and motion control systems into automated equipment.
- Work with AutoCAD Electrical to design control panels and electrical schematics.
- Conduct system testing, debugging, and commissioning of automation equipment.
- Provide technical support during installation and post-installation phases.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in industrial automation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in controls engineering, preferably in an automation or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms).
- Experience with HMI development (FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Ignition, etc.).
- Strong understanding of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, Modbus, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with robotics, motion control, and servo systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and create electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical or similar tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for system installations and support.
