Position: Fleet Maintenance Manager
Location: Dayton, OH (Northeast Side)
Salary: Six Figure Base Bonus
Description:
We're working with one of the largest distributors in the US in search of a high caliber Fleet Maintenance Manager. This individual will oversee operations for a large private fleet of company assets (reefers, dry vans, tankers). 5-9 diesel technicians report into the Manager. This position works closely with the Transportation Manager onsite and collaborates daily with the operations and safety teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage fleet maintenance workflow, assign tasks, and ensure timely repairs.
- Conduct quality audits and ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to technicians.
- Oversee vendor relationships and maintenance budgets.
- Monitor fleet performance and recommend cost-saving measures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience leading a fleet maintenance team in a private fleet setting (food/beverage preferred).
- Strong knowledge of diesel truck and trailer maintenance.
- Ability to audit repair quality, improve processes, and drive operational efficiencies.
