New Business Development – Insurance Sector
Location: United States (Virginia, Atlanta, North Carolina, Charlotte, Boston, New York, New Jersey)
IRIS Software Inc. is seeking Senior Sales Professional, New Business Development to develop new and existing clients in Insurance Vertical with the responsibility to build new client relationships and acquiring new logos for the IT solutions and services across regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for successfully selling IRIS solutions services to Insurance clients.
- Experience working as a Hunter, obtaining and develop new business clients and develop key relationships for locating new opportunities in Life and Annuities Insurance sector.
- Identifying and qualifying business opportunities, presenting presentations to ‘C level’ executives, preparing formal proposals, leading negotiations, coordinating complex decision-making process, and overcoming objections to closure.
- Good understanding of building winning value propositions (based on both products and services)
- Strong experience in solution selling strategies (based on a combination of products and services) through effective cold calling and in-person visits, which foster a consultative relationship and increase business with the clients.
- Own highly developed sales strategy, solution selling, customer relations, and negotiation skills.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase pipeline/ revenue.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement/ win rate.
- Should have met and exceeded Monthly, Quarterly and Annual goals.
Required Skills and Experience
- 15 - 25 years of IT solution sales experience; at least 5 years of selling in Life & Annuities and Property & Causality Insurance sector.
- Very good contacts/ rolodex of CXOs, across Life & Annuities and Property & Causality business & IT field.
- Acumen to understanding client’s business, strategy and regulatory imperatives; subsequently aligns Iris’ strategy, solutions and services to add value.
- Good Understanding in new and conventional technologies, best practices and platforms prevalent in Life & Annuities Insurance markets.
- Exposure to product sales (licenses) along with services is desirable.
- People-person with an innate ability to develop relationships at all levels of the client organization
- Ability to perform the role of a “trusted” advisor for clients and IRIS’s management and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to make effective technical and business presentations, e.g. budgeting and forecasting.
- Self-motivated and possess strong organizational and interpersonal networking skills.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Post Graduate/Graduate – Preferably MBA with Sales/Marketing.
