Purpose:
To provide exceptional service by ensuring boats are meticulously cleaned, detailed, and maintained for optimal appearance and enjoyment on the lake.
Responsibilities
- Interior Cleaning:
- Deep clean interiors, including seating, flooring, compartments, and storage areas.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces for a streak-free finish.
- Disinfect surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Organize and tidy personal items onboard if requested by owners.
- Exterior Cleaning:
- Wash and dry the exterior, removing dirt, grime, and water spots.
- Perform waxing and buffing to restore and maintain the boat’s shine and protect finishes.
- Remove scuffs, stains, and oxidation on hulls and other surfaces.
- Maintenance Detailing:
- Conduct routine checks for mold, mildew, or damage during cleaning processes and report any findings to the Service Manager.
- Apply protective treatments to surfaces, including upholstery and decking, to extend their life and durability.
- Repaint or touch up surfaces if required.
- Teamwork and Operations:
- Collaborate with the Service and Marina teams to ensure timely delivery of boats to customers.
- Safely handle, move, and dock boats as needed during the detailing process.
- Gather and maintain cleaning supplies, ensuring proper inventory and storage.
- Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations related to cleaning products and procedures.
- Customer Service:
- Maintain excellent communication with customers to understand and meet their specific cleaning or detailing requests.
- Ensure all work exceeds customer expectations, enhancing their experience with Irish Boat Shop.
- Additional Tasks:
- Assist with maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the marina and surrounding areas.
- Provide support to other departments as needed during peak seasons.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for cleaning and organizing.
- Physically able to perform tasks requiring consistent lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing.
- Proficient in the use of cleaning, waxing, and buffing tools.
- Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
- Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime during peak periods.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred, with the ability to drive boats or trailers safely considered a plus.
