What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bobtail Driver position at Irish Companies?
Summary: Delivers bulk propane to residential and industrial customers by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Organizes delivery tickets to maximize efficiency of route.*
2. Performs a pre-trip inspection of vehicle to insure all safety codes are met.*
3. Fills bobtail using the 30,000 gallon tank.*
4. Completes all paperwork for daily vehicle inspection and hazardous materials shipping.*
5. Delivers product to each customer and meters every delivery ticket at each stop.*
6. Writes start and end percentages on each delivery ticket.*
7. Obtains signature from customer on each delivery ticket.*
8. Gives customer yellow copy of delivery ticket for their records*
9. Fills out trip sheet, properly, at end of each stop with times and product delivered.*
10. Fills out paperwork with end mileage and gives to office when all deliveries are complete.*
11. Performs daily post inspection of truck per DOT regulations.*
12. Parks and secures truck.*
Qualifications:

Language Ability:
Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Education/Experience:
One year related experience and/or training.
Specialized Training:
· Propane filling and safety training certification
· On-the-job forklift certification
Certificates and Licenses:
· CDL class B or higher driver’s license
· Hazmat endorsement
· Tank endorsement

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
