What are the responsibilities and job description for the 587 Rope Access, Industrial Insulators - Whiting, IN Full Time/Nested position at IRISNDT Inc?
IRISNDT is currently seeking experienced Rope Access, Industrial Insulators for full-time resident positions nested within a client site located in the Whiting, IN area. We offer competitive pay, full benefits, 401(k) w/company match and opportunities for continuous learning in a rewarding career!
Must be local to the Whiting, IN area in order to be considered.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Install, remove, and repair insulation on industrial equipment;
- Piping, ductwork, or other mechanical systems such as heat exchangers, tanks, and valves to help control noise and maintain temperatures in accordance with applicable insulation specification;
- Perform any other related tasks as requested by the customer;
- Able to read blueprints, sketches, or building plans;
- Have knowledge skills and abilities required;
- Assist other crafts while not actively working on insulation project;
- Follow all safety rules and regulations;
- Must have all required tools;
- Must have reliable transportation.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of current SPRAT and/or IRATA Rope Access Level 1 certification is required;
- NCCER/NCCER Plus certifications in Industrial Insulation removal, installation and fabrication is required;
- Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT) certification will be considered a plus;
- Valid TWIC card required;
- Valid Driver’s License and pre-access drug and alcohol testing required; and
- Pre-employment background checks will be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Some operation of hand tools and machinery (e.g. angle grinder, band saw, plasma cutter, polishing wheel, etc.)
- Manipulation and/or lifting of heavy or awkward components ( 50 lb.)
- Occasional outdoor/site work may be required with exposure to heat, cold, rain, uneven terrain, etc. and restricted access requiring the use of ladders, stairs, or platforms.
