Apave America Inc. is currently seeking full-time NDT/RT Assistants for nested positions within a client site located in the Robinson, IL area.
As an entry level NDT/RT Assistant your roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Working outside in an industrial setting with qualified and certified individuals for non-destructive testing and maintenance while maintaining the policies and procedures set forth by Apave America Inc. (IRISNDT) and the client for safety, quality and production. The NDT/RT Assistant will perform non-destructive testing of materials while training to become a Certified Technician. Possession of a TWIC Card will be required.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate NDT equipment under the supervision of the Certified Technician.
- Assist NDT Technicians in performing required inspection.
- Assist Radiographers in performing radiography of Piping and Equipment.
- Assist with proper documentation and reporting of inspection results.
- Become familiar with required codes and procedures to carry out testing.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management. Requirements.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License and pre-access drug and alcohol testing required.
- Pre-employment background checks will be required.
- Possession of TWIC Card required.
- 40hr Radiation Safety Training is considered an asset.
- Radiographer state card will be considered an asset.
- NDT training and experience will be considered an asset.
- Current SPRAT or IRATA Rope Access certification considered an asset.
- Technical experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Move, carry, and lift objects 50 lbs. or more.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, reach, and climb.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
