What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDT Level II Technicians - Channelview, TX Resident/Nested position at IRISNDT Inc?
IRISNDT is currently seeking a full-time NDT LVL II UTT/PT Technician for a nested position within a client site located in the Channelview, TX area! Must have valid TWIC Card and an active DISA status. We offer competitive pay, full benefits, and opportunities to build a rewarding career!
The NDE Technician will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing and inspections on a variety of structures and components to identify flaws, defects, and inconsistencies. The role involves using a range of NDT methods and techniques to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Location:
Channelview, TX
Required Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- SNT Level II certified in UTT/PT methods are required.
- SNT Level II certifications in MT/RT will be considered an asset.
- PMI/Hardness Testing will be considered an asset.
- Current SPRAT and/or IRATA Rope Access certification will be considered an asset.
- Refinery experience is considered a plus.
- Capable of training NDE assistants.
- Valid TWIC Card is required.
- Active DISA Status is required.
- Valid Driver’s License and pre-access drug and alcohol testing required.
- Pre-employment background checks will be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Move, carry, and lift objects 50 lbs.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, reach, and climb.
- Remain constantly active throughout shift.
- Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
