Manager, Contract Management

Aptiv is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional for the role of Manager, Contract Management within our Corporate segment's Supply Chain Management department. This key position is responsible for leading our contract management team, overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, and ensuring that our organization's contractual interests are protected. The ideal candidate will bring a strong legal background, extensive experience in contract management, and exceptional leadership skills to drive efficiency, mitigate risks, and foster collaboration across the organization.

Your Role

• Lead and oversee a team of contract negotiators
• Develop and implement contract management strategies, guiding principles and procedures
• Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, and administration
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks
• Improve processes and drive efficiency in contract management
• Collaborate with stakeholders and serve as the primary point of contact for contract issues
• Monitor the contract status, performance metrics, and key issues
• Mentor and develop team members, setting performance goals and conducting reviews

Your background

• Experience: Minimum 7-9 years in contract management, with at least 3 years in a team management role
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• In-depth understanding of contract law and regulations
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strategic thinking and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Communication skills: English – must have; Spanish, Portuguese – nice to have
