What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Operating Officer - IRMC Physician Group - Full Time position at IRMC?
Essential Duties:
- Lead efforts to align the medical group with the IPG and PMCN mission, ensuring patient-centered care and operational excellence.
- Drive physician contract negotiations, ensuring competitive and sustainable terms that align with the group’s financial goals.
- Oversee initiatives to improve physician productivity and operational efficiency across all specialties and service lines.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the revenue cycle, identifying opportunities for improvement in billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
- Manage relationships with physician partners to ensure alignment with operational and financial objectives, fostering long-term collaboration.
- Guide the use of shared resources such as revenue cycle management, IT, HR, legal, and others to optimize performance.
- Lead the development of physician group mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships to expand and strengthen the medical group’s capabilities.
- Shape and implement new models of care, focusing on operational improvements, financial sustainability, and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in healthcare delivery with a focus on integrated care systems and physician group management.
- Proven leadership in negotiating physician contracts and implementing value-based care systems.
- Strong experience with revenue cycle management, financial oversight, and healthcare economics.
- Demonstrated ability to enhance physician productivity and drive performance improvements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with a strong ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams.
