What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Coordinator - Medical and Supportive Care Department - Full Time position at IRMC?
In this role you will be:
- Coaching and supporting frontline staff to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Doing rounds on patients, families, and staff.
- Facilitating and coaching problem-solving.
- Facilitating practice changes of frontline staff developed to support targeted strategic goals such as improved HCAHPS results, ED throughput, falls reduction, decreased hospital acquired infections, and clinical documentation improvements, all with the support of the unit manager.
- Assisting the unit manager with investigation and follow-up of patient safety events and complaints.
- Monitoring and coaching frontlines staff’s compliance with established standard work, practices, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Participating with staff development and performance management.
- Assisting with development and review of policies and procedures.
- Participating with hiring, onboarding, and working to achieve excellent nursing staff satisfaction and high retention rates.
- Utilizing excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
- Managing multiple projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- EDUCATION: BSN or committed to obtaining within 3 years
- EXPERIENCE:
- 3 or more years experience as professional nurse
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current license as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
