What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diet Tech Supervisor - Part Time position at IRMC?
Position Summary: Provides direct nutrition care and services to patients. Promotes and adheres to the IRMC core values of ICARE (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) and G.R.E.A.T. (greet/respond/explain/ask/thank) customer service standards.
- Providing brief nutrition educational opportunities as needed on modified diets and determining nutrition risk per nutrition office policy.
- Working cooperatively with team members as well as independently.
- Adaptable to change and able to handle stress.
- Performing mathematical calculations for tube feedings and nutritional assessments of energy and protein needs.
- Able to address neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric nutritional concerns.
- Supporting staff orientation, training, and development.
- Maintaining and promising a safe and sanitary food production environment.
- Management of staffing to meet fiscal restraints.
- Initiating work orders to maintain equipment.
- Completing assigned paperwork functions and coordination of services to meet the needs of all customers.
- Utilizing excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills.
Minimum Education Required: Successful completion of ADA associate degree technician program, Registered as DTR or 4 years college degree in nutrition required
Minimum Experience Required: 1 year experience in acute care setting preferred
Licensure/Certification Required: DTR preferred
