Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs electrocardiograms on infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric inpatients and outpatients. Processes cardiograms through the department to obtain formal reading and necessary documentation for the department.
Job Specification
- Minimum Education Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Formal course in EKG technology preferred.
- Minimum Experience Required:
- Monitor of physiologic parameters including blood pressure and heart rate.
- On-the-job training for EKG procedures is available.
- Licensure/Certification Required:
- Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire).

- Must have the ability to exercise independent judgment in emergency situations.
- Must possess necessary acuities to perform the essential functions of this position.
- Must have the ability to relate well with patients, physicians, and co-workers.
